At school today we talked about equality and I realized I strongly believe in self advocacy, self responsibility and personal choice. Don't get me wrong, just because I believe a person can choose their path I don't think it's always fair or possible, sometimes life and God just have a different plan for you.
Right now one of my goals (there are many things for me to work on) is to let go of the things out of my control and focus on the life right in front of me. I had plans and ideas on what my life would be like when I was an adult and you know what???? It didn't work out exactly as I planned, I have experienced more heartache than I thought I would and more joy too. Point is, it is my life and failing to see the beauty of it today only keeps me from appreciating the great gift I have been given.
